Almost a year to the day since there was any news - Ha Ha!!
Anyway, we've had a very quiet year, things have been a bit up, down, sideways, however you want to look at it!
The long & short of it is we've had enough and are back off to the rehearsal room to get it back on the rails and come out to hunt ya down!
So don't give up hope, the Ragamuffin band of Rock Warriors will be back out to soon to bring the party to you!

15/9/08
Daz has left the drumstool in The Swillers so we're more than happy to annnounce that
Toddy will be filling in for the next few gigs.
Put another slab of Stella in the van he's back!!

The Swillers are deeply saddened to have heard of the death of Ali Todd earlier this week.
Ali was a close friend of the band and a Rock & Roll diamond.

Ali we salute you.

Happy New Year!
As some of you are already aware we've been back at it with a new line up.

We'd like to welcome aboard H.M.S. Swiller;

Daz - Drums
Lee - Bass

We played a few gigs over Xmas, had a great time (so we've been told) and got really good feedback. We're going back to the practice room to freshen up the set and we'll be back out a soon as we're ready.

Hope the new year brings all you want, see you soon

Hasn't been much to report for a while but now there is!

Toddy and Cow have left the band, it's totally amicable and they'll probably be at more Swiller gigs than they were before now!

We'd like to thank thank both of them for their efforts, time, commitment, the laughs, idiotic van rides, falling over, standing up - the fuckin lot!

We wish them good vibes, happiness and more laughs to come....it ain't over yet.

Cow and Toddy - We loves ya!

Some sad news has reached us at Camp Swiller:
The mighty and popular beat combo Drink till Dawn have decided to call it a day.
We'd like to send our best wishes to all the lads and thank them for all the good times.
We wish 'em all good things for the future, we're all mates and have been for years.
Nos da DTD - Remember the piss ups!

I'll tell ya summat and I'll tell ya for why!
We've just about recovered from the Choppper Club Rally over Easter and have learnt a few things;
How many people can you fit in a 2 berth caravan? Answer - Rucks!
How much Stella can we drink? Answer - Rucks!
Those interesting details aside we also learnt that The Shires 2007 is going to be a top blast.
The Hamsters will be there, Space Ritual are also appearing featuring ex members of Hawkwind and of course US! There's an outdoor stage and a stage in the main marquee and many rambling Swillers will no doubt be in evidence - can't wait!

23/3/07
Some news just come in, Bear of the punky rock & roll combo 'Drink for a bit then have a lie Down' has just informed us that we're playing at the Shires yet again!
Glad someone's keeping an eye on the ball! There's a whole new set up for the weekend and things have moved on and up! Click here for info
We're back out in April - catch us if you can, we're chewin at the restraints, gaggin to get on a stage again!
We've got some new tunes to shoot at you, rumour is that Bone is to be vocalising on a number, so get your rotten fruit and earplugs ready!
Can't wait to see y'all, here comes summer - Yeeha!

13/3/07
A few bits of news to lay pon yo arses, some interesting some dull as a cyclist's brain!
The doughty - or should that be doughy - lads of rock that are The Swillers have alledgedly moved well into bringing new tunes into the set! We're feeling very good vibes (maaaan) about the new tunes, we're gonna come back to you - our beloved people - a harder, faster, leaner bag o shite than before. We know you're gonna dig this new edge we're honing.
Hopefully in the coming weeks we're going to put a CD together, just got to write a few songs to put on it! We're looking at this year as a re-building of the band, pointing it in a new direction, so keep watching and listening, give us your support and we'll blow you away !
Dee Rocks - the charity event held in Llangollen - is to be held on May 26.
Unfortunately The Swillers can't play the gig this year but various members of the band are involved in the gig -  so we represent - innit! News is now being posted on the Dee Rocks website - find it via the links page.
If you haven't been on myspace yet get on there it's a peculiar and strangely compelling place - ooh er! - so join up and we'll all meet up in't cyberhyperwebsurfinblogtasticvirtualrealitydom (.com)
